Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha..

Being a 5^th yr medic student in a foreign country-Aidil Adha wuz juz like any other school days..Friday marked da end of the 2-week Gynea cycle in Vedenkha (took us 1hr & ½  to get there by metro)..n dat means we have credit test..so instead of buzy cooking rendang & other stuffs, I had to study for da test-which Alhamdulillah turned out well. Thnx to Bond (my dear lil bro here) who helped me to get some of the muttons from the Embassy (they put down 25 goats this yr-embekkkk!!)

Friday 27^th Nov 2009 also wuz da day for the Final Episode of Nur Kasih..which made many of those ardent fans turning down long distance calls to watch it(ish3x)..But I don’t blame them laa-it wuz indeed an awesome series. From the intro music (and I quote part of the lyrics below) to the very ending scene..

It would be A DAMN PEACEFULL WORLD if all those who face the same kinda problem would have the same long awaited..but happy ending like Adam & Nur, all those Katerina(Kat)s would die off early due to liver cirrhosis(or other chronic diseases) & all husbands as awesome as Aidil. His rejection line on Aliya’s(his wife) suggestion for him to marry Nur(the gal he had feelings for in the very 1^st place).-da line  ALL WIVES in this world would wanna hear..

But REALITY SUXX-da fact that there will be a gal as strong as Nur (though most people would call her stupid to wait so long and accept the cripled Adam)..but damn hard to find a boy who would actually admits his wrong doings n takes own initiative to change (parents, family & friends could only pray for him-da rest he had to do himself). .

Surah Ar-Ra’d:11-”..Sesungguhnya Allah tidak akan mengubah keadaan suatu kaum sebelum mereka mengubah keadaan diri mereka sendiri..”

as far as Kat is concerned-unfortunately most Kats would live a long healthy life and they use dirty tricks to get & juz keep their Adams..n most Aidil cant wait to fill the 4 quota of wives..

Tru da reviews-Many think that the final  part was not that umphh!!-too simple they say..I on the contrary think it’s da best ending-da closing scene where Adam n Aidil in the desert..walking towards their father (in the background-recitation of the hadith):

“..bila malaikat maut dtg menjemput..maka terputuslah amalan anak Adam..kecuali ilmu bermanfaat, sedekah jariah & doa anak yg soleh..”

It was quite an easy path for Aidil. For Adam, at first he could’nt get up the small hill but Aidil waited..& finally they reached their father-all 3 (father n sons) hugged n praised God-Alhamdulillah..(u rili have to watch it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7X00QlNDJ8 -my description is of no comparison to actually watching it)

Now, is that DEEP or wat?..

Movie review n mumbles..hehe;p

I should be doing my O&G assignment this evening..but I guess I have sometimes to give my review about this movie I saw last Friday-Arranged(A Muslim n Jew friendship)..actually I’ve copied this movie so long ago from my friend..but since it’s an independent production wit unfamous cast..I delayed watching it for quite sometimes..until they cutdown the internet line (again?!) for upgrades..n I’m out of movies to watch..

Mind opening-that’s my short conclusion about the movie..very simple n pure but it keeps my mind spinning through the weekend..”Is it true that Muslims n Jews cant be friends?..Are u rili suppose to kill each other?”..that question popped out from a 6 y/o (prolly) black boy in Naseerah’(the Muslim gal) class..to me, it’s juz an innocent question from a lil kid. If we muslim are rili suppose to kill all the jews out there..they wont be muslims marrying non-muslim laa kn?..(of coz the non-muslim must be converted to Islam prior to that). My aunt married to an American, my cousin married to a Belgian..a dear friend(I care most) planning to get married to a German..(my prayers are alwiz for you).

so I went n ask the lil ustaz n ustazah here for opinions..(coz I know I lack of it..n to even discuss it here I wasn’t so sure-this is juz my piece of mind)..there’s one interesting opinion, lil ustaz (1) asked-who’s the director?..if he/she is a non-Muslim director..dont waste ur time discussing bout it..huh? pulak..but he said-there’s about the Muslim n Jew r/ship in surah At-Taubah-which basically means-Muslims wont fight bck if we werent being provoked-which I very much agree;p (again..I’m rili not good about this Hadis, Tafsir n stuff..I write base on my understanding from my YM discussion with da lil ustaz n ustazah only..do refer others ok?)..n there’s also about Muslim’s n our enemies in surah Al-Baqarah..-but why did Naseerah keep quiet after being asked by the lil boy? Rachel stood up (here comes the Jewish gal)..n suggested for Unity circle..which was interesting too;p

Ok, y do Muslim gals wear hijab?-One thing for sure IT’S WAJIB!! refer to Surah An-nur.. I like the way Naseerah explains to the headmistress on y she she wears hijab..-She choose to wear it, It’s her choice to wear it-as an expression of her beliefs n adherance to what’s written in the Quran about feminine modesty… I wish all Muslim gals could answer like that (proudly) when being asked the same question..

but sadly, even among Muslims ourselves,we have the so called Liberal Free-Haired Muslimat(s) n the Hijab Off &On Group..they hold to the statement..”Tiada paksaan dlm Islam-There’s no forcing in Islam”(mind da direct translation) huhu!! They are very particular about their food(must be halal)..they perform their daily prayers , they fast during Ramadhan but Hijab? X smpi seru lagi laa..(haven’t had the call yet). My Naqibah said-”No forcing in Islam” are for those Non-Muslim to convert into Islam (meaning we don’t force u too)..but once u have converted, u have to follow it ritefully (ok..maybe step by step;p).

 I know somebody who once said to me-Don’t judge a book by it’s cover-juz bcoz u wear hijab,perform da daily prayers n fast during Ramadhan-doesnt mean u r a good Muslim.Well my dear-That also doesnt make those who don’t do those stated above any better rite?..Allah set it up for us as a shield to protect us from being derailed..Yes,once in a while a a Muslim does slip from the track but alwiz remember Allah is Most Gracious n Merciful.

Well, a few trip to room5-06 for Usrah I must say –rili enlightens me. To my fwens out there-go n join the Usrah n when we do have time-read the Quran & the Tafsir for understanding. I used to smirk when people say-sometimes Muallaf(s) understand the Quran better than people who are born Muslim..but now I understand-since the Muallaf(s)have hard time reading the Quran..they read the Tafsir..when we (who are born Muslim) on the other hand—juz keep on reading without even bothering to look at the meaning..like Burung Kakak Tua=Cockatoo;p

Rite now I’m reading this one particular book-Nota hati seorang lelaki by Pahrol Mohd Juoi..judging by the title..people might think-shaz ni betol ke? But then..a lil ustaz here..(coz he’s so much younger than me..but damn wise) said..klau kita nk seseorang tu berubah..kita sndiri kena berubah..klau nk suami cam Muhamad..kita kena jd cm Khadijah..(nampak tak bahana buku ni?..but seriously- this book is the true definition of Don’t Judge a Book by it’s cover..)most of da gals have posted, or asked their friends to buy da book for their cik abangs..but my lil ustaz said..”better k.shaz understand the content first..then maybe do like the other gals n pray for the best..Wanna know wat’s inside?- u can get it at MPH Mid Vall for rm20-free promo hehe;p..

Hmm..it’s been only bout 2 months thats I started my 5th yr 1st sem..been Improving my Russian language hehe-for better understanding of wat’s da teacher talking about in front of da class n understanding my patients..currently in my last week of Peads cycle (My fav cycle!!) and on Friday we have the 1st stage of Peads State Exam..wish me luck ya;p

Beyonce’s-I’am shasha fierce(huh?) concert nxt Monday 2nd of July..-not rili a fan but sometimes u need to loosen up arr staying in this hypoxic hostel..accompanying a friend actually..so that next time she’ll accompany me to other les mellow concert that I might wanna go to..erk boley kan? that’s wat’s friends are for kan??To use n be used..so our actvt this weekend is-Memorizing Beyonce’s lyrics.. (cm xd keje laen..haha)

Owh, summry bout summer break-Congratz to Nadiya n Eddie on your glamourous wedding..thanx for all ur help during my trip to Kelantan(U guys are the best!!)..n Good Luck in New Zealand nnti ye!! Gonna miss u guys..I might go n visit (or maybe a sportcheck;p)-so be prepared..Thanx Jenet for entertaining me during my free time in KL..lenkali kita g Jalan2 cari Makan lg ek..-A true friend indeed n need. Da Zachut conquest..

Da new semester has juz started, many upcoming problems..especially wit da new order from MMC..but YEAH, I’ll get tru..been tru a lot and I’ll take tis as another new shade to paint da already so colorful canvas of life..(haha..cuba2 nk jadi sasterawan)

Our 1st cycle wuz OZ..after 8days of basically copying da whole definition of statistic n it’s shit..(made me wonder pesal laa die x suh beli jer buku tuh..haishhh!!)..our teacher made us go to da National Pediatric Congress in World Trade Centre Moscow before giving da zachut (credits)..n since it’s fully in Russian Language, we spend most of da time outside da hall testing da baby products (Gerber,Johsons Baby, Heinz etc) at the 2 storey exhibition centre..creams,drinks and delicious baby food..burp!!

In da end..still didnt get da zachut coz x jumpa cikgu..beribu org kot!!

February 2009..

Alhamdulillah-da best word to describe Gods grace for me in surviving tru da first semester of tis yr. Got tru both exams well..Went for my winter holiday with clear chest-xde pending2..and xde peresdacha (repeat)..though my mum wuz not very happy wit my Opeha marks at first..but after long explaination dat most of the others failed da paper(even when they tried it for the 2^nd time..huhu)-An advice for my ownself-shaz, jangan suka compare ngn org ye..especially klau org tu weaker than us!! mum wuz kinda ok wit it laa..

Da fact dat oral exams plays da main part in determining  da marks here..(taking into account  ur knowledge, the teachers mood & timing) u have to pray a lot n be blessed with Good Lucks.. rest assured I never go kamikaze for exams ok..Mum (being an ex- teacher) said..”If u are well prepared..u can face any teacher..any time”..which is kinda tru also laa kan..supposedly..

Hmm..about my trip to Frankfurt..I did want I wanted to do, see n say..da rest-I leave it to God. Mum said..I’m old enuff to make my decisions n Dad said-it’s ur future, u determine it urself.Thanx mum n dad for understanding..n not forgetting my best mates, Nadia,Chip,Are, Sara n Jenet..for lending their ears n tonnes of advice..

 

 

 

 

 

Putting Up A Smiley Face..

Well..it’s been quite some time..so where do I start?..been bz with da Dermatology cycle..yea, it wuz only for a week..but we had tis oral test at da end..which wuz very unsatisfying..no, I didnt get 3..but to see how some people could juz take it easily and depending on others totally for answers which makes me wanna give them a big slap on da face!!

Then we had Opeha cycle for 2 weeks..which was so straining. Our teacher at firs wuz Forkina..n I wuz among da only 4 who settled da Oral test with her..the other backed off..but then da very next day..she fell n broke her legs..(she’s very old..n couldnt hardly walk..but she teaches very clearly)..then we had Zarinskaya for substitute..well2..what can I say-she loves her student..some of da answers dat she marked correct for her students..she marked it wrong for us..haha!! n those who didnt do da oral with Forkina..got away wit it easily coz Zarinskaya didnt bother much;<

We’ve juz finished our Neuro cycle..which at first we tot wuz ok..coz our teacher went for a course in da first week..n we got tis man teacher which was so relaxed..then when our teacher got back..we were fired with questions from 9.30am to 2.30pm..perghh!! n it continued for the rest of da following week..but hey, if it wasnt for her..we wouldn’t have memorize all da 12 cranial nerves..function n symptoms if any of it got traumatized..dats da other side of da coin laa..on the other..we were drained like hell laa..then only on da last week..she brought us to see da patient..n we had to write da patient history report BY HAND in one nite..huwaaa!! but we survived..yeay!!

so in conjuction with the freedom of da 3 most horrific cycle..(though I didnt sleep da nite before to complete da report) I gave my first try in cooking Nasi Kerabu..which wuz not so bad laa they say..hehe!! hoping dat one day..some people will actually appriciate wat I would do for them..

Owh..da delicous Marks n Spencer flapjacks arrived from UK at last!! thank Chip for makin my day..yeay!! (how could u not love him kan? only as a fwen..not more laa)

owh..have I mentioned dat I bought another cute lil kitten from Ptishni Rinak again..tis time it wuz a Persian..we called her Buttons when she’s a good gal..n Butang when she’s naughty..noticed da past tense I’ve been using? dat bcoz she too had passed away..same duration-7 days wit  me..n same day-Sunday..n yea..from da same intestinal infection..so it wasnt rili da case of da expired food I gave Bubu..they were already infested with the virus from da Rinak..coz Durga bought her puppy from Rinak tuh.. also having da same prob..I managed to take Buttons to da Vet 4 times..but still God loves her more..n from now onwards..I restrained myself from buying pets from da Rinak..at least until next semester..

oh, when I bought Button, Ajlaa adopted a FOC kitten from da same rinak, her name is Fifi..she’s so healthy n very active..tis is bcoz her owner juz came dat day to give her away..unlike Buttons n Bubu..they were mixed with da other persians n other cats..so they were highly infected..(I guess so laa)..so now all of us shower our love to Fifi..she’s our apple of da eye rite now..n she knows it;p oh, she’s also a Calico type-which mean GOOD LUCK!! YEAY!!

In Loving Memories of My Lil’ Bubu..

7 days..dats da approximate time she had with me..I went all da way to Metro Lublino to get tis lil angel..da lady said, she’s a twin..so she’s gonna be rili lonely if I take her alone..so bought her twin also for my rumate..

Well, she n her twin (Lilo) joined us on Monday..10 nov 2008, but by Wednesday both of them were already unwell..still we tot it wuz da cold weather dat kept them sleeping all day..then they stopped eating..bathe them on Friday..then they started having fever & vomitting. She was actually drinking n eating da broth dat I fed her tis morning..I tot she wuz going to be ok..tot I would bring her to da Vet on Monday..but after taking my bath..her mouth wuz already turning blue..n at 2.30pm-16 Nov 2008..Bubu passed away..sedih sangat..we burried her near da lake in front of da hostel..

As for Lilo, though she did’nt even want to drink a bit..Natrah managed to take her to da vet..(after receiving da news of Bubu’s death)..da vet diagnosed her with viral infection of da intestine..n gave her 5 jabs..I pray to God dat she’ll be ok..n later we realized that the frieskies we fed them on da 1st day wuz already expired..

Moral value of da story..Alwiz check da food, make sure it’s clean, fresh n alwiz get them to da Vet A.S.AP when there’s symptoms of illness..n for my late Bubu..may we meet again in heaven dear..mummy loves you so much..n I’m so sorry about da food, mummy’s fault..mummy gonna regret it forever..sob.

Updated-Lilo joined Bubu in heaven on Monday 17 Nov 2008 at about 2pm..she had hematuria n    melena..rest in peace my cute lil twins..

Canine story..

Well, called my mum last nite..she juz came back from an open house wit baba..n she wanted to cut it short coz she wants to see da news..not bout Najib taking over Pak Lah’s seat or bout da Crazy UMNO people fighting over da UMNO new commitee nominations..(dowh!!) but bcoz she saw a slot in 8.00pm’s news bout a dog-Leo..who saved 4 kittens..well peeps I did try to find a nice pic of Leo n da 4 weeks old kittens..so far tis is da best I could get..(I’ll try to find da pic n paste it here later..)

Dog Leo saves kittens in Melbourne house fire

LEO the dog risked his life to protect four kittens trapped in a house fire in Melbourne last night.

The plucky pooch tested the courage and skills of firefighters as they were forced to dodge fallen power lines to reach him and his young feline companions at the burning weatherboard home in Pilgrim Street, Seddon just before 9pm.

Commander Ken Brown said family pet Leo, which remained in the house guarding the family’s four-week-old kittens, owed his life to the firefighters.

“They got him out of the house and successfully resuscitated him,” he said.

“They are just there spending some time now with Leo before they go off duty.”

Following a few tense minutes, the animals responded to oxygen and therapy, and were now fully revived.

Commander Brown said the family was relieved to be reunited with their family pets, including the mother of the kittens, which had initially been lost in the incident.

“Everyone’s fine … we rescued anyone,” Commander Brown said.

An 11-year-old girl suffered smoke inhalation as she made her escape, and was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital for observation.

She was at the home with her 37-year-old mother, a five-year-old sister and 18-year-old brother when the fire started in the front room.

However, Commander Brown said the lives of firefighters were put at further risk, with the family not having an evacuation plan or smoke alarms.

“A proper working smoke alarm and an evacuation plan equals a safer escape.”

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

p/s: when my sis came bck from Penang..she said a tourist wuz complaining dat he saw tis one chinese hawker who likes to throw cat’s n kittens into da sea during nite time..SAD!!
